Maria's family travelled fourteen hours by bus to reach a PAPS-affiliated mission clinic. After a forty-minute procedure and three days of post-operative care, she returned home able to nurse, eat, and smile without pain. Her mother sent a single sentence in a follow-up note — "She talks now, all the time."

Daniel had lived with chronic pain for two years before reaching a partner clinic in Lima. The repair was straightforward, but the family had been priced out of routine surgical care for nearly all of his childhood. A foundation-supported sliding-fee program covered the procedure in full.
